Joanna's Background

Joanna brings over 30 years of heart-led experience supporting children, young people, women, and families. Her journey began in a small Aussie town as an art therapist, where she witnessed firsthand the incredible power of creativity in healing. From there, she opened a welcoming studio on the stunning Central Coast, inviting children and adults to explore paint, colour, and imagination as pathways to expression and growth.

Holding a Masters in Counselling, Joanna has since worked with countless individuals as a psychotherapist, counsellor, and expressive arts therapist. She has a natural gift for connecting with children and teens (ages 5 and up), while also working beautifully with adults, couples, and families—helping them move towards calmer, brighter, and more connected lives.

She’s passionate about helping children build confidence, develop a strong sense of self, create a positive body image, and learn healthy ways to communicate. Her mission is to guide people of all ages toward a more peaceful, empowered, and joyful life.

Oh—and did we mention she’s also a published children’s author? Her stories are packed with heart, celebrating friendship, embracing differences, and finding magic in everyday moments.

Joanna's Approach

Joanna meets each client with genuine care, compassion, and curiosity—no matter where they are on their journey. Whether navigating anxiety, life transitions, grief, or other challenges, she creates a safe and supportive space for exploration and healing.

Her approach is beautifully flexible, drawing from a rich toolkit that includes talk therapy, expressive arts, play-based methods, and family therapy. Every online session is thoughtfully tailored to each client, ensuring the experience is personal, inclusive, and deeply meaningful.

Joanna doesn’t just support healing—she nurtures growth, confidence, and joy in both children and adults alike.
